Go-Live Checklist
Steps to launch on the main domain
Follow these in order on launch day — the site itself is ready; these are the domain-side steps.
- 1. Back up the old site firstDownload a full backup (files + database) from Hostinger hPanel before removing anything, so the old site can be restored if ever needed.
- 2. Remove the old WordPress site completelyDeleting the old install also deletes its 232 casino spam posts and the infection with it — the new site starts from a clean folder.
- 3. Upload the new site + both launch filesPut the new site files in public_html, with robots.txt and sitemap.xml (above) in the same root folder — in this preview the two files sit in the assets folder; on the domain they must live at the root. Use the clean URLs from the sitemap (/about/, /services/seo/, …) as the live page addresses, served as real pages or rewrites, and only submit the sitemap once every listed URL opens with a 200 response — this preview navigates with #/ links, the canonical paths are the clean ones.
- 4. One version of the domain, on HTTPSForce HTTPS and redirect www → non-www (or the reverse) so every visit lands on exactly https://rankersclub.com/ — matching the canonicals and sitemap.
- 5. Google Search Console setupVerify the rankersclub.com domain property, submit sitemap.xml under Sitemaps, then use URL Inspection → Request Indexing for the homepage, Services and Blog pages. This is done in the Search Console account at launch — if you verify with the HTML-tag method, Google issues a google-site-verification token there; send it over and it will be added to the site's head.

- 8. Final checks after launchOpen every page on a phone, run a PageSpeed test, and confirm rankersclub.com/robots.txt and /sitemap.xml load correctly.
